40 Days of Prayer for New Life Family Church

Founded in a store front 1922 in Kansas City, Kansas, New Life Church has a long history. From the first building in 1927 to expansions in the 1990’s, they have been working to reach out into their community. However, over time, the congregation has seen a decline in attendance and has hit some tough patches.

Over the last 10 years, under the leadership of Pastor Ralph Eaton, New Life Church has worked toward their vision to be a place where the hurting, the hopeless, the discouraged, the depressed, the frustrated, and the confused find love, acceptance, guidance, and encouragement.

To live out their mission, the church has worked hard to reduce debt, increase attendance and build their community projects. Only are averaging around 110 in attendance and again facing financial concerns, New Life Church applied for the HGC champions scholarship to be coached through a critical life cycle low and the practical need for another type of restart.

Recently, the church entered a 40 Prayer Journey to seek God’s guidance for becoming a campus of a larger church to make them stronger and more sustainable so they can continue to fulfill the mission God has called them to. [View the 40 Days Prayer Guide that HGC uses in our consultations.]

There is a prayer service tonight (September 23) and for the next three Wednesdays leading up to the vote.

Will you join us in praying for New Life Church as they seek God’s will in becoming a campus of Indian Creek Community Church? The church vote is set for October 11.
