DISC

This instrument measures how one approaches a task as a part of a team.  The D (dominance) measures the desire to control the situation and/or others.  The I (influence) measures the desire to influence others in the moment.  The S (steadfast) is the desire to put things into a system or to bring harmony into a situation.  The C (cautiousness) is measures desire for compliance to high standards.

16PF

This instrument is similar to DISC yet much more expansive.  Instead of looking at four factors, there are 16.  You are given an in-depth, integrated picture of one’s personality.

EQ

EQ evaluates the following five factors:  (1) one’s ability to understand their own emotions; (2) one's ability to appropriately express their emotions; (3) one's ability to understand the emotions of other’s; and (4) one's ability to help others express their emotions in the context of relationships.  The fifth factor is one's motivation to work on personal change.  While many of the results from other assessments are reflective of a person's "hard wiring," EQ highlights specific skill sets that can be further developed well into adulthood.

Spranger Values

This instrument measures a person's "internal drivers" or motivators of behavior by examining these six factors: (1) Theoretical (motivation to learn); (2) Utilitarian (motivation to make a good return on your financial investment); (3) Aesthetic (motivation to bring beauty and form into the environment); (4) Social (motivation to serve other’s social needs); (5) Individualistic  (motivation for personal power); and (6) Traditional (motivation is to operate consistently with a sense of right and wrong.  Usually, two of the highest on the scale influence the other four and are the most obvious in internal motivation.

Thomas-Killman Conflict AWARENESS

This tool measures your preferred approach in handling conflict.  Jesus actually used each of these depending on the context. There are five modes: (1) Winning; (2) Avoiding; (3) Yielding; (4) Compromise; and (5) Resolving.   All of these modes are appropriate at different times.  The challenge is to know which approach is appropriate at what times and how to use each approach.
